Join the Amherst Democrats for this year’s July 4th Parade! We’d love to have a strong, spirited group marching with us. If you’d like to walk in the parade, meet us at Wilkins School by 9:30 AM. The political section typically assembles on Jones Road.

Learn how to: Interested in Running for Office? Considering a Run for Office? We’d Love to Hear from You. The Amherst Democratic Committee is actively seeking individuals who are interested in running for local, county, or state office. Amherst is represented by three dedicated seats in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, along with a fourth seat shared with Bedford. In addition, we have one State Senator representing Senate District 11, an Executive Councilor serving Executive Council District 5, and several county-wide positions that will be on the 2026 ballot.
