The Amherst Democratic Committee is actively seeking individuals who are interested in running for local, county, or state office. Amherst is represented by three dedicated seats in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, along with a fourth seat shared with Bedford. In addition, we have one State Senator representing Senate District 11, an Executive Councilor serving Executive Council District 5, and several county-wide positions that will be on the 2026 ballot.
Whether you’re a longtime community advocate or newly inspired to get involved, we’re here to help. Our committee is ready to support local candidates at every stage—from deciding to run to organizing and managing a campaign. We can offer guidance on filing deadlines, campaign planning, messaging, outreach, and compliance.
