Senate Tries Again on School Vouchers

The New Hampshire House voted to reject one of Governor Sununu’s top legislative priority of the session, the SB193 school voucher bill. This was great news for local schools and local tax payers.

BUT, the bill’s not dead yet. On May 3rd, Senate Republicans attached the same school voucher bill to a different bill, HB 1636, sending it back to the House for concurrence.

This move it politics at its worst – trying to tack school vouchers onto another bill after vouchers were already voted down by the House.

Please, call you local representatives and let them know that the House should again reject vouchers and keep our public schools strong.
