Jason Kander, who exploded on the national political scene in 2016 when he nearly defeated Roy Blunt in the Missouri US Senate election, one of the most competitive races in the country, will be the Keynote Speaker at this year’s Annual Labor Day Barbecue, hosted by the Amherst Democrats.

Jason is continuing the efforts he began in 2012 when he was elected as the Missouri Secretary State, becoming the first Millennial to serve in statewide office in the country.  Jason is the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee’s Commission to Protect American Democracy and the founder of Let America Vote, a group dedicated to “fighting back against proposals across the country that make it harder for eligible voters to exercise their constitutional right to cast a ballot.”

This event is more important than ever as Jason joins state and local candidates Steve Marchand, Shannon Chandley, and Jeanne Dietsch to give us their vision of the future of the country under a Trump Presidency, and what it will take for Democrats to not only resist the current administration’s efforts to undermine healthcare, environmental protections, civil rights, voter rights, and American leadership around the world, but to compete in the upcoming elections and into the future.

Event will be from 3:00-6:00 at the Amherst Country Club, 72 Ponemah Rd. Amherst, NH
