Shannon Chandley, the ranking member of the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee, has declared her intention to run against Republican Gary Daniels of Milford. For and the full press release see here: Press Release
Amherst Representative Shannon Chandley (pictured above with Faye O’Neill of the Amherst Democratic Executive Committee) was recognized at the New Hampshire Democratic Party’s Annual McIntyre-Shaheen Dinner in April as the recipients of the prestigious Dunfey Kanteres Award. The award, named for Walter Dunfey and E. Leo Kanteres, to recognizes a lifetime work on behalf of the party.
The Amherst Democratic Committee would like to hear from anyone interested in running for local office. Amherst has 3 seats in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, plus a 4th seat which is shared with Bedford. There are also several county-wide positions available. We are ready and willing to help local candidates with their campaigns; and are happy to answer questions and provide assistance in the planning process as well!
